Development Student Office Assistant (Work-Study)

Keuka College - Keuka Park, NY

Development is responsible for all fund-raising and engagement programs at Keuka College. The department regularly handles donor information which requires staff to respect privacy and confidentiality. The student office assistant will develop/improve on: time management, self-motivation, resourcefulness, accepting responsibility and adhering to deadlines.

Essential Responsibilites

  • Office tasks including data entry, filing, research, processing mailings (folding, stuffing, and accurately addressing envelopes), and using the Konica copier/printer for printing, copying, scanning and faxing
  • Occasionally answer phones and act as department receptionist
  • Will work with others and independently on special projects such as events, donor recognition, and other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Eligible for a Federal work-study award or a Keuka College work-study award
  2. Current Keuka College student in the undergraduate, traditional, on-campus program
  3. Demonstrated understanding of the rules of confidentiality
  4. Neat and legible handwriting suitable for hand-addressing donor correspondence
  5. Office experience, including ability to use Konica copier/printer preferred
  6. Research skills and attention to detail preferred
  7. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite required
  8. Working knowledge of Google Calendar, Google Docs and Google Sheets preferred
  9. Excellent telephone and customer services skills
  10. Ability to work with a diverse group of people

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional weekend and/or evening hours required
