Position Title:    Senior Store Designer
Reports to:        Director, Store Design
Location:           Home Office - New Albany, OH
 
 
Position Summary:
 
The Assistant Store Designer will support the responsibilities of Store Designers and Design Managers in conceptual design, design development and construction documentation.  As part of the Store Design team, this position will work with both internal departments, including store construction, real estate, global procurement and brand senses, as well as external partners such as architects and engineers. 
 
Responsibilities:
Assist in the daily management and coordination architecture/engineering consultants, landlord contacts and local tenant coordinators.
Drawing/designing using AutoCAD.
Assist in the updating of master construction documents, standard specifications and design updates.
Represent A&F in project discussions with local architects, engineers and landlords.
Work with local building departments to assure proper submittal documentation and requirements to assure building permits are obtained in a timely manner.
Insure integrity of store design, in partnership with construction manager.
Balance workload demands of multiple projects at various stages of design and construction.
Assist in the review of proposals for content and cost competitiveness.
Assist in contract close-out and accompanying paperwork.
Partner with internal departments to deliver quality stores, on schedule and under budget.
Assist in research of local code requirements, fire-safety regulation and fire strategy requirements.
Assist in the execution of the real estate plan.
Work with mall tenant coordinators to assure proper landlord criteria is being met. 
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
4-6 years of experience.
Thorough understanding of construction documents and processes.
Must be extremely detail oriented and have the ability to work independently and autonomously.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Windows (Word, Excel, Project)
Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.
Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills.
